My Friend I have a good friend named Tom. He is an outstanding and charming boy who has left a deep impression on me. Tom is of medium height and has a strong build. He has short, black hair that always looks neat and tidy. His most striking feature is his pair of bright eyes, which are as clear as stars and always full of curiosity and energy. One of the things I admire most about Tom is his kind heart. He is always ready to help others. Whenever someone is in trouble, he will offer his assistance without hesitation. For example, last semester, one of our classmates fell ill and missed a lot of classes. Tom volunteered to help him catch up. He patiently explained difficult knowledge points and lent his class notes. Thanks to Tom's help, that classmate was able to keep up with the study progress. In addition to being kind, Tom is also extremely hardworking. He loves learning and is particularly interested in science. In his free time, he often reads science books and participates in various science competitions. Once, he spent weeks preparing for a regional science project. He conducted numerous experiments, analyzed data carefully, and finally won the first prize. His dedication to learning has inspired me to work harder. We also share many hobbies. We both love playing basketball. Every weekend, we gather on the basketball court with some other friends. Running, jumping, and shooting hoops together, we enjoy the excitement and teamwork of the sport. Through playing basketball, our friendship has become even stronger.
